Small sized larvae, head capsule length 300 microns. Possibly purple in life.

Dorsal Head

Dorsal head with frontoclypeal apotome, with SIII lying at anterior margin, posterior to single anterior sclerite bearing SI and SII.

Antenna with 6 segments; segment 3 shorter than fourth. 5th subequal to 3rd tapering into very thin, hair-like 6th. Antennal ratio about 1. Ring organ large, in basal quarter. Blade shorter than flagellum, extending to apex of 4th segment. Lauterborn organs as long as antennal segment 3; style subequal in length to antennal segment 3.

Labrum with SI bifid to base, blunt-tipped; SII simple, short, blunt-tipped, SIII simple, short, weak, SIV very small. Labral lamella absent. Chaetae simple, short. Pecten epipharyngis consisting of 3 simple, rounded lobes. Chaetulae laterales and chaetulae basales apparently all simple. Premandible with 1 large apical tooth, inner tooth weakly delimited, with modest brush.

Apical tooth shorter than combined width of 3 inner teeth. Seta subdentalis obovate, extending to 3rd inner tooth. Seta interna with 5 serrate branches.

Mentum with broad median tooth, perhaps medially divided into 2, but broken in 2 examples and worn; with 5 pairs of evenly decreasing lateral teeth. Ventromental plate maybe double, with an inner sinuous margin, and a posterolateral 'tooth'-shaped bulge overlying 'beard' of three branched setae.

Maxilla without pecten galearis. Lacinial chaetae and appendix simple, tapering, undifferentiated.

Body with anterior parapods with serrate claws. Posterior parapod claws simple. Procercus squat, partially dark pigmented (but no scales), with strong lateral seta, and 4 mid-brown apical setae. Anal tubules unseen in exuviae. Body setae quite long and perhaps numerous, especially on thorax, where some setae are up to half segment width.
