Australian Pentaneurini genus B manuscript name

Taxonomic Notes

This taxon, and others named in the same manner, derive from Australian larvae, some of which are reared, that do not correspond with northern hemisphere defined taxa. No formal diagnosis is provided here – eventually, and with rearings and especially some insights from molecular data, formal taxonomic treatment may be provided.

Ecological Notes

Pentaneurini genus B was recognised first from the Brisbane River and to one record from monsoonal Northern Territory: Rockhole Mine Creek, and reported subsequently from a southern site (NSW: AWT E1054, edge, 24.iii.1993).
